  • Cooperative Database/Information Systems

    This work concentrates on cooperation/coordination among multiple inter-networked autonomous database systems, involving semantically enhanced models for communication/coordination, translation mechanisms and wrapper systems, legacy system conversion as well ass workflow mechanisms implemented on object-oriented frameworks.

  • WWW Information Discovery and Retrieval Techniques

    This work concentrates on internet resource discovery and multi-agent systems and proposes a set of criteria for improving the quality of networked-information delivery. It proposes a distributed architecture and information elicitation scheme to classify information based on concept analysis, and accelerate searches in large collections of networked-systems and databases. I have applied these techniques also in the context of Digital Libraries and E-Business.

  • Information Brokering and E-Business

    This work compares approaches on information brokering which share the idea of using domain-oriented meta models to improve the brokering process. It also concentrates on the use of meta-data in the context of large organizations and in particular how the conecpts of information brokering and meta-data representation, management and mediation can be used in the context of E-Business

  • Service Oriented Computing
